Mentor and Wellbeing Officer

Capel Manor College is seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to join its Student Experience and Support team as a Mentor, Wellbeing and Enrichment Officer.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide pastoral support to students to promote their personal and social development and independence.
- Offer one-to-one sessions as needed, monitor student punctuality and attendance, and address behavior that deviates from the student Code of Conduct.
- Act as a Safeguarding Officer in the Safeguarding Team, providing a responsive safeguarding service to students experiencing welfare and safeguarding issues.
- Experience working with young people and ability to build strong relationships with students.
- Empathy for young people and understanding of the issues affecting them.
- Experience engaging young people with special educational needs and coaching them to overcome barriers and realize their full potential.
- Good understanding of safeguarding practices.
This is a term-time only role, working 40 weeks per year. The actual salary is £23,256-£25,033pa inclusive of London Weighting.
