Role Overview

The Procurement Transformation Manager is tasked with assisting the Group Head of NC Procurement in formulating and executing the comprehensive NC procurement strategy and annual objectives. This position is crucial for coordinating and overseeing the execution of the integrated Global Procurement Plan, focusing on effective achievement planning, dependency management, plan reporting, and suggesting necessary adjustments to the plan. Additionally, this role involves delivering global projects and initiatives while providing organizational change and knowledge management support to sub-functions, ensuring they meet their objectives and maintain a central repository of key management data and insights globally. A significant aspect of this role is to spearhead the XCELerate initiatives concerning Procurement, acting as a Functional Expert for NC Procurement, and aiding in the development and implementation of new procurement processes and technologies. This position is vital in offering expert guidance to ensure that new processes are appropriate and support the seamless integration of innovative practices and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the execution of the coordinated Procurement Plan in collaboration with Global and Regional partners to ensure effective geographic achievement planning, dependency management, and reporting, while recommending necessary adjustments to the plan. Strategy Formulation & Execution: Assist the Group Head of NC Procurement and Category Managers in driving the development and execution of procurement strategies and reporting. Work alongside multi-functional teams to ensure effective integration of Procurement strategies into the broader operational framework. Process Design & Enhancement: Develop and refine procurement processes, showcasing industry-standard methodologies and new technologies that will be evaluated as part of XCELerate. Conduct assessments of new technologies and their compatibility with existing workflows. Collaborate with Category Management and Functional Transformation Managers to ensure the smooth integration of digital transformation initiatives into daily procurement operations. Partner Collaboration: Work with Project Managers and XCELerate Workstream Leads to align procurement transformation initiatives with overarching program objectives. Engage closely with key partners to understand business needs and incorporate feedback into procurement workstreams. Market Insights: Provide expert insights into market trends, benchmarking, and new technologies to foster continuous improvement in Procurement concerning Strategy, Business Insights, and Digital Transformation. Regularly engage with Central Operation Excellence and consulting organizations. Change Management: Facilitate change management processes to ensure the smooth adoption of new procurement strategies, processes, and technologies. Assist in designing training programs for procurement teams to enhance their capabilities.

The Procurement function is a global organization responsible for both direct and indirect procurement to Operations and Commercial, with superior management of categories and suppliers.

The design of the Procurement organization clearly distinguishes between the formulation of procurement strategy (Global) and its execution (either Global or local).

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Experience

Proven ability to manage workstreams within global programs. Experience in overseeing complex projects and programs aimed at enhancing performance and delivering services, supported by a strong foundation in Project Management principles and practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

Procurement Expertise: Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management, and procurement operations. Business Strategy Acumen: Strong understanding of the role of procurement within global supply chain operations, particularly how procurement strategy supports corporate and operational strategies. Process Knowledge: Solid understanding of existing procurement processes with a proven ability to design, optimize, and implement innovative procurement workflows. Technology Skills: Proficiency in utilizing procurement technologies such as Coupa and SAP. Digital Competence: Good grasp of how digital tools and technologies can enhance and optimize procurement processes. Procurement Operating Model: Strong understanding of the procurement operating model at both central and local levels, with the ability to align strategies and initiatives accordingly. Proactive and Accountable: Self-motivated individual capable of taking ownership of initiatives, driving projects forward, and delivering results within set timelines. Innovative and Curious: Consistently seeking and proposing creative solutions to procurement challenges, embracing a forward-thinking approach to drive continuous improvement. Creative Problem-Solving: Skilled at tackling challenges with a creative mindset, offering unique and effective solutions to complex procurement issues. Partner Management and Integration: Strong partner management skills with high interpersonal maturity, professional communication, and presentation abilities, serving as a proactive influencer and integrator in team collaboration.
