Purpose Statement

The Transformation Manager position is tasked with assisting the Group Head of NC Procurement in crafting and executing the overarching NC procurement strategy and annual objectives. This role is crucial for coordinating and managing the execution of the integrated Global Procurement Plan, particularly in ensuring effective achievement planning, dependency management, plan reporting, and suggesting modifications to the plan as necessary. Additionally, this role spearheads global projects and initiatives while providing organizational change and knowledge management support to sub-functions in their execution. It also aids Regions by supplying analytical data and reports to help them meet their targets and establish a centralized repository of essential management data and insights globally. A key objective of this role is to lead the XCELerate initiatives related to Procurement, acting as a Functional Expert on behalf of NC Procurement, and supporting the development and implementation of new procurement processes and technologies.

Key Accountabilities

Manage the delivery of the coordinated Procurement Plan in collaboration with Global and Regional partners to ensure effective geographic achievement planning, dependency management, reporting, and recommend necessary adjustments to the plan. Strategy Development & Implementation: Assist the Group Head of NC Procurement and Category Managers in driving the formulation and execution of procurement strategies and reporting. Work alongside multi-functional teams to ensure effective integration of Procurement strategies into the broader operational framework. Process Design & Optimization: Develop and enhance procurement processes, showcasing industry best practices and new technologies to be evaluated as part of XCELerate. Conduct functional assessments of new technologies and assess their compatibility with existing workflows. Collaborate with Category Management and Functional Transformation Managers to ensure seamless integration of digital transformation initiatives into daily procurement operations. Partner Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers and XCELerate Workstream Leads to align procurement transformation initiatives with overall program objectives. Engage with key partners to understand business needs and incorporate feedback into procurement workstreams. 'Outside In' Insights: Provide expert insights into market trends, benchmarking, and emerging technologies to foster continuous improvement in Procurement concerning Procurement Strategy, Business Insights, and Digital Transformation. Collaborate with Central Operation Excellence on consulting organizations periodically. Change Management: Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth adoption of new procurement strategies, processes, and technologies. Assist in designing training programs for procurement teams to enhance their capabilities.

The Procurement organization is a global entity that delivers both direct and indirect procurement to Operations and Commercial, with superior management of categories and suppliers.

The organizational design of Procurement establishes a clear distinction between the development of procurement strategy (Global) and its execution (either Global or local).

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Experience

Proven ability to manage workstreams within global programs. Experience in overseeing complex projects and programs aimed at enhancing performance and delivering services, supported by a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.

Skills & Qualification:

Procurement Experience: Extensive background in strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management, and procurement operations. Business Strategy Acumen: Comprehensive understanding of the role of procurement within global supply chain operations, particularly how procurement strategy supports corporate and operational strategies. Process Expertise: Strong knowledge of existing procurement processes and a proven ability to design, optimize, and implement innovative procurement workflows. Technology Proficiency: Expertise in utilizing procurement technologies such as Coupa and SAP. Digital Fluency: Solid understanding of how digital tools and technologies can transform and enhance procurement processes. Procurement Operating Model: In-depth understanding of the procurement operating model at both central and local levels, with the ability to align strategies and initiatives accordingly. Dedicated and Accountable: A proactive, self-motivated individual capable of taking ownership of initiatives, driving projects forward, and delivering results within set timelines. Innovation and Curiosity: Consistently seeking and proposing creative solutions to procurement challenges while embracing a forward-thinking approach to drive continuous improvement.
