We are seeking an experienced Executive Director of Finance to lead our financial strategy and operations. The successful candidate will advise our Chief Executive and Board of Directors on all aspects of financial management, including:

  • Financial planning and budgeting
  • Procurement and supply chain management
  • Contracting and service level agreements
  • Financial risk management and investment appraisal
  • Borrowings and other sources of finance
  • Covenant compliance
  • Cash flow management
  • Commercial opportunities and risks
  • Financial systems development

The Executive Director of Finance will also work closely with our Acute Provider Collaborative (APC) to develop and implement a financial plan that aligns with our strategic objectives.

We operate a range of clinical services, including emergency departments, urgent care centres, and specialist care services. Our hospitals are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and technology, and we are committed to providing high-quality patient care.

We are a university teaching NHS trust, and we play an important role in training clinicians of the future and bringing the benefits of research to the public.
