Emergency Medicine Junior Clinical Fellow

We are seeking a Junior Clinical Fellow (ST 1-2 Level) in Emergency Medicine to join our dynamic team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a Junior Doctor at the SHO level to enhance their experience in the field of Emergency Medicine.
The Emergency Department is staffed by a diverse team of 15 ED Consultants, Registrars, Middle Grades, SHO grade Doctors, ACPs, and ANPs. The successful candidate will integrate into this collaborative environment, participating in a rolling rota that encompasses day, evening, and night shifts, ensuring a continuous presence of Senior Doctors around the clock.
The rota comprises 24 junior doctors, each of whom will be assigned an Educational Supervisor to provide guidance and support, along with a dedicated study leave budget for professional development.
We offer structured teaching sessions every Wednesday, which include formal SHO and Registrar training, as well as advanced simulation exercises. We encourage participation in quality improvement initiatives to foster a culture of continuous learning.

Experience
Essential Criteria:
- A minimum of 4 months of experience in Emergency Medicine or completed a clinical attachment in ED for at least 1 month.
Desirable Criteria:
- Evidence of involvement in audit and research projects.
Qualifications
Essential Criteria:
- GMC Registration with Licence to Practice.
- Completion of foundation training or equivalent.
- Current certification in ALS.
- Evidence of participation in evidence-based medicine, such as journal clubs and presentations.
Desirable Criteria:
- Postgraduate Royal College qualification.
