About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Collections Agent to join our dynamic team at Adecco UK Limited. As a Collections Agent, you will be responsible for processing inbound calls, collecting overdue debts, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process inbound calls and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collect overdue debts and negotiate payment arrangements with customers.
  • Identify instances of vulnerability and take appropriate actions to ensure compliance with client criteria.
  • Liaise with other departments and field staff as necessary to resolve customer issues.
  • Conduct outbound calls to customers to collect debts and resolve issues.
  • Update system records with accurate call notes and complete associated actions.
  • Handle account queries and verbal complaints, escalating complex cases to senior staff as needed.
  • Follow established collections processes and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Firm and polite telephone manner with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with procedures.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to deal with customers professionally, calmly, and tactfully, even in challenging situations.
  • Strict confidentiality and non-discriminatory work approach to maintain a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Previous call centre experience, preferably in a collections or customer service role.
