Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Electrical Network Engineer to join our team at ENWL. As a Delivery and Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of electrical network services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all customer interactions are handled in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage and deliver a portfolio of electrical network projects to time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Carry out high-voltage switching on both underground and overhead distribution networks and have experience in all aspects of the low-voltage network, including fusing, linking, and deployment of transient fault management equipment.
  • Direct and manage the activities of industrial teams and contractors on site, providing operational support where required.
  • Work in line with the company's Planned Supply Interruption process (PSI) and ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with relevant Health and Safety legislation and company codes of practice.
  • Mentor and develop fellow Engineers, Technicians, Fault Technicians, and Craft staff with regard to operational activities.
  • Ensure that contractor payments for ENWL third parties are justified, accurate, and are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Undertake standby duties on a rota basis and be compliant with company initiatives, such as using mobile scripts and submitting near-misses on a weekly basis.

Requirements

  • Hold a minimum of a HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering (essential).
  • Hold an LV Authorisation.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be responsible for managing fault and maintenance targets and costs, producing reports as necessary.
  • Have proven industry experience with a high level of engineering knowledge, including a working knowledge of relevant Codes of Practice and the Industry as a whole.
  • Be familiar with electrical engineering design and practices, with a sound knowledge of legal, technical, safety, and CDM regulations that affect the electricity business.
  • Have proven experience in influencing and negotiating with contractors, internal and external customers, and also domestic customers.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills, together with excellent verbal, written communication, and inter-personal skills.
  • Be proficient in MS Office, with good analytical skills, and have the ability to produce and interpret spreadsheets and to produce reports on program, costs, and targets for both the Delivery Manager and business as required.
  • Hold a current, valid UK driving license.
