Risk Management Specialist

**Job Summary**
The role of Risk Management Specialist at WTW involves managing accounts for multinational organizations primarily in the downstream oil refineries, gas processing, LNG, and petrochemicals industry sectors. The position requires excellent knowledge of oil refinery/petrochemical processes, power generation, and logistics, operations, asset integrity activities (maintenance & inspection), and process safety management, as well as international codes & standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and lead risk engineering strategies to mitigate potential hazards and ensure the safety of facilities and personnel.
- Develop risk engineering programs for insured clients, taking into consideration the needs of all stakeholders, including insureds, insurers, and the broking team.
- Arrange and coordinate individual risk engineering surveys on a global basis, ensuring the execution of surveys meets the satisfaction of insureds.
- Prepare marketing risk assessment reports to assist in the placement of client insurance programs, following the WTW standard structure and containing key understanding of hazards at facilities and how management teams are controlling/mitigating their impact.
- Develop risk improvement recommendations that are clear, appropriate, and fairly balanced between the interests of insureds and insurers.
- Calculate loss expectancies within company guidelines across a range of industries.
- Ensure all reports and other deliverables are prepared and ready in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support to clients and the broking team across a range of issues relating to good industry practices.
- Maintain all risk management team tracking tools, such as schedules and planning spreadsheets.
- Other aspects of work activities include ensuring the risk management team fully understands the scope of work required, maintaining technical competency in chosen industry sectors, and keeping up-to-date with risk management developments.
**Requirements**
- Excellent knowledge of oil refinery/petrochemical processes, power generation, and logistics, operations, asset integrity activities (maintenance & inspection), and process safety management, as well as international codes & standards.
- Ability to develop and lead risk engineering strategies and programs.
- Strong communication and technical skills to provide support to clients and the broking team.
- Ability to maintain all risk management team tracking tools and ensure timely delivery of reports and other deliverables.
