Position Overview:

Role Responsibilities:
As a Computational Biologist, you will spearhead essential data evaluations, oversee crucial datasets, and develop the bioinformatics framework within the strategic initiative.

You will collaborate with a diverse group of computational biologists, life scientists, and software developers, fostering inventive solutions.



Key Duties:
  • Direct the assembly, annotation, and pan-genomic investigations to tackle significant scientific inquiries.
  • Conduct intricate genome and transcriptome evaluations, concentrating on the interactions among key organisms.
  • Design and refine bioinformatics systems to bolster robust and scalable research applications.
  • Offer expert guidance and mentorship to junior computational biologists, doctoral candidates, and early-career researchers, nurturing a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Doctorate in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in genome assembly, annotation, and pan-genomics, along with transcriptome analysis of complex datasets.
  • Strong capabilities in statistical evaluation and scripting, with expertise in R, Python, and Bash.
