Job Summary:

Thornbury Community Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our team in a community-based setting. As a Pediatric Nurse with Thornbury Community Services, you will have the opportunity to work with a young girl with complex care needs, providing bespoke care and support to enable her to stabilize at home and achieve personal goals.

About the Role:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a 2-and-a-half-year-old girl with a diagnosis of CCHS and Hirschsprung's Disease.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to ensure the girl's needs are met and her care plan is effective.
  • Administer medications, perform tracheostomy care and suctioning, and provide oxygen therapy as required.
  • Communicate effectively with the girl, her family, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in pediatric nursing in the last 2 years.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric care principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
