Role Overview

As the Subsea Operations Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the BT Subsea Team, ensuring that all team members perform to the highest standards set forth by the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directing and mentoring the subsea engineering team, fostering a culture of motivation and empowerment while balancing operational, customer, and financial objectives.
  • Supervising subsea engineers in the deployment, maintenance, and recovery of subsea cables across various regions, ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
  • Prioritizing the safety and security of team members, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and conducting necessary training for all personnel.
  • Assisting team members in resolving complex operational challenges related to subsea networks, coordinating efforts for effective problem resolution.
  • Maintaining transparency regarding team workload and resource allocation through comprehensive reporting mechanisms.
  • Managing operational budgets and total labor resources, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost management.
  • Driving change initiatives that promote teamwork across all locations, enhancing collaboration and support among team members.
  • Encouraging continuous professional development through coaching, training, and recruitment, promoting a culture of skill enhancement and teamwork.
  • Implementing improved operational processes within the subsea team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
