Role Overview
As the Subsea Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the BT Subsea Team, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with established expectations. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering a motivated and empowered engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Directing and evaluating the performance of all team members within the BT Subsea Team.
- Inspiring and coaching the subsea engineering team to balance operational, customer, and financial priorities.
- Overseeing the installation, operation, maintenance, and recovery of subsea cables for BT and its partners.
- Ensuring compliance with agreed service levels and maintaining visibility of delivery standards.
- Prioritizing the safety and security of team members, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and training.
- Assisting team members in resolving complex operational issues through effective coordination and support.
- Maintaining transparency of team workload and resource allocation through comprehensive reporting.
- Managing Total Labour Resource and Cost (TLR & TLC) along with operational budgets for the team.
- Driving change initiatives to enhance team cohesion and operational flexibility across various locations.
- Facilitating the professional development of team members through mentoring and training opportunities.
- Implementing improved operational processes within the BT Subsea Team.
