We are seeking a highly skilled Development Manager to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our Land and Planning department, you will be responsible for overseeing the pre-construction phases of development projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the development process from land acquisition to project completion, ensuring seamless coordination with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Conduct thorough land appraisals, utilizing Group software to identify potential development opportunities and ensure accurate budgeting.
  • Prepare and present reports, risk registers, and other documentation to internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with solicitors, land agents, and other external advisors to negotiate and agree land contracts, ensuring all development-related matters are resolved prior to contract execution.
  • Work closely with clients and their agents to negotiate and agree building contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage consultant teams, including architects and engineers, to produce scheme-specific information and ensure timely submission to relevant authorities.
  • Maintain effective communication with project teams and stakeholders, ensuring accurate information sharing and timely progress.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, working collaboratively with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Represent the company professionally at client meetings, promoting our values and maximizing development opportunities.
  • Follow internal development processes, ensuring accurate information maintenance and system updates.
  • Resolve problems and share learning to champion continuous improvement and successful project delivery.
  • Promote and represent the company to maximize development opportunities and enhance our reputation.
  • Assess new business opportunities, undertake feasibility work, and prepare offer documentation as required.
  • Network with clients to identify opportunities for business expansion.
