About the Role

Plosive is seeking a highly skilled Marketing Officer to join our team and support the promotion of our live comedy shows and audio podcasts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective marketing campaigns to maximize ticket sales and reach targets.
  • Coordinate and deliver marketing activity based on Plosive's annual marketing plan.
  • Liaise directly with venues and third-party ticket agents to co-ordinate marketing activity.
  • Manage print deliveries and distribution.
  • Monitor ticket sales and deliver reactive campaigns accordingly.
  • Coordinate and manage paid digital marketing campaigns.
  • Liaise with external PR companies to manage press campaigns for live shows and podcasts.
  • Write press releases and update listings.
  • Update social media accounts and websites.
  • Create and subtitle promotional videos for social media.
  • Oversee and schedule the company's social media content plan.
  • Write and deliver targeted e-newsletters.
  • Maintain and manage email databases in line with current data protection rules and regulations.
  • Coordinate and deliver marketing campaigns for Plosive's podcasts and audio content.
  • Monitor podcast listener figures and track downloads against marketing activity.
  • Ensure all marketing communications are accurate and maintain the Plosive tone of voice.
  • Assist at Plosive shows, particularly press nights.
  • Represent Plosive at comedy and arts events and festivals in the UK and potentially abroad.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience in a live arts marketing position.
  • Experience in coordinating marketing campaigns.
  • Experience of running social media advertising.
  • Knowledge of different social media platforms and skills in updating these.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
  • The willingness and dedication to learn new skills as required.
Desirable
  • Experience of using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
  • Experience of working on live touring shows.
  • Knowledge of and interest in the UK comedy industry.
  • Experience of working at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe or in other festival environments.
