The client, a well-established FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) company specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of beverages, is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in the City of London.

About the Team:

The team is comprised of 10 professionals, and the successful candidate will report directly to the Financial Controller. The company values a brilliant working environment and culture, making it an attractive workplace for professionals seeking a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices.
  • Process purchase ledger invoices on a weekly basis, applying online payments and seeking approval from budget holders and stakeholders.
  • Process weekly payment runs, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations, ensuring the AP ledger is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Generate aged creditor reports, providing valuable insights into the company's financial position.
  • Manage the AP inbox, ensuring prompt and efficient handling of incoming invoices and correspondence.
  • Assist with the migration from SAP to SAP4/Hana, leveraging technical expertise to ensure a seamless transition.

Requirements:

  • Approximately 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, with a strong background in managing AP ledgers.
  • Prior experience working as a sole Accounts Payable professional, ideally in a small finance team.
  • Strong Excel skills, including V-lookups, X-lookups, Summifs, Pivot Tables, and Formulas.
  • Prior working knowledge of SAP or SAP4/Hana, with a strong understanding of the system's capabilities and limitations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
