About the Role

We are excited to announce a unique opportunity within the Governance Team at Nottingham Community Housing Association Ltd for the position of Executive Governance Support Specialist.

In this role, you will experience a diverse range of responsibilities, ensuring that no two days are alike. This position provides a fantastic chance to enhance your skills in governance and risk management.

Your Responsibilities

As the Executive Governance Support Specialist, you will provide essential administrative assistance to the Group Governance & Risk Manager, the Executive Team, and the Board. Your key tasks will include:

  • Preparing and disseminating governance and risk documentation to senior management, the Executive Team, and Board members, while also gathering their feedback.
  • Coordinating meetings, which involves preparing agendas, sharing reports through meeting platforms, and managing venues.
  • Documenting meeting minutes and tracking action items.
  • Handling service orders, processing related invoices, and managing event reservations.
  • Maintaining company records, including the Deed Register, Shareholder Register, and Gifts and Hospitality Register.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge or experience in a regulated environment, such as social housing. We are looking for a highly organized individual with a keen eye for detail, who also embodies the following qualities:

  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, with the ability to manage databases and generate reports.
  • Experience in a fast-paced administrative role with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Adaptable communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including shareholders, board members, and colleagues.
  • A flexible work approach to accommodate the varying demands of Board and Committee meeting schedules.
