Childrens Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Care Worker. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive and nurturing environment for young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities- Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to young people during challenging times, helping them to develop coping strategies and build resilience.
- Fostering Ambition: Foster ambition and motivation in young people, assisting them in achieving their goals and maximizing their potential.
- Education Support: Offer support and guidance to young people in their educational pursuits, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and prepare written reports for planning meetings, reviews, and other meetings as directed by the line manager.
- Empowerment: Empower young people to actively participate in decision-making about their lives and future, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
- Advocacy: Act as an advocate in meetings where the young person is the subject of discussion, ensuring their voice is heard and their needs are met.
- Community Engagement: Encourage community engagement and participation, attending off-site activities and expanding the young person's personal social networks.
- Domestic Duties: Meet the needs of children and young people, organizing social activities and maintaining the home (laundry, cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc.).
- Age Requirement: Minimum age requirement of 21 years old.
- Driving License: Full UK driving license preferable.
- Experience: No prior experience necessary, only a commitment and passion for working with young people.
- Training: Attendance at a 2-week training program required.
- Availability: Must have availability for sleep-in shifts.
- Training and Development: Access to complete your NVQ Level 3 in Children's and Young People's Workforce up to Level 5 after passing your 6-month probation, providing excellent career progression opportunities.
- Work-Life Balance: 2-3 shifts per week on a full-time basis for an excellent work-life balance.
- Induction and Training: Comprehensive induction and training provided.
