About the Role

The Global Projects Centre serves as Subsea 7's hub for excellence in executing its most significant projects globally.

As a Senior Installation Analysis Engineer within the RIAU department (Risers, Installation Analyses, and Umbilical), you will play a pivotal role in delivering extensive installation analysis scopes during the Project, Tender, and FEED phases.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Formulating the comprehensive installation analysis scope package, which encompasses Flexible, Umbilical, and Cable Lay, as well as Structure and Mooring installation.
  • Conducting in-place analysis for static Flexible flowlines and jumpers.
  • Leading a team of analysis engineers (typically 1 to 3) to ensure the successful execution of engineering tasks, optimization, workload management, and adherence to schedules.
  • Promoting knowledge sharing within the discipline.
  • Providing support to trainees and junior engineers.
  • At the commencement of the Project, Tender, or FEED:
  • Identifying the scope of work, specifications, timelines, and inter-discipline requirements.
  • Understanding project/client expectations and collecting relevant past lessons learned.
  • Identifying necessary project interfaces and coordinating a schedule and resource plan with department managers.
  • During the Project, Tender, or FEED:
  • Preparing discipline engineering design basis, philosophies, technical specifications, and design reports as necessary.
  • Executing Installation Analysis for Flexibles, Umbilicals, Power Cables, Mooring Lines, Towing Analysis of floaters, and transportation analysis.
  • Conducting and reviewing OrcaFlex analysis to ensure compliance with the established design brief and basis, while ensuring adherence to QA/QC processes within the team.
  • Maintaining relevant project interfaces and ensuring alignment with other design engineering departments, Installation Method Engineers, SPS suppliers, Clients, Engineering Managers, and Flexible/Umbilical Engineers.
  • Organizing regular meetings with the analysis team and maintaining an action register. Providing regular reports that include document progress, resource mobilization planning, and manhour tracking, while ensuring that technical changes related to the base scope are properly monitored.
  • Participating in project review meetings, vendor meetings, and engineering meetings organized by other disciplines.
  • Organizing and leading internal and external analysis engineering reviews.
  • Engaging in customer and third-party technical audits concerning engineering deliverables and vendor documentation.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Structural, Civil, or Hydrodynamic Engineering. A Master's degree or PhD is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in the oil and gas sector or equivalent, preferably with an EPCI contractor or consultant focused on construction and installation design.
  • Extensive working knowledge of design techniques and installation analysis using OrcaFlex, along with familiarity with applicable standard codes (e.g., DNVGL-ST-N001).
  • Capability to manage workload, interfaces, and collaborate within a multicultural team.
Desirable Knowledge in Systems:
  • Naval architecture

  • Rigid riser design
  • Flexible pipe and umbilical design
Working Conditions
  • Home office environment.
