About the Role

The Global Projects Centre serves as Subsea 7's hub of expertise for executing major projects across the globe.

As a Senior Installation Analysis Engineer within the RIAU department (Risers, Installation Analyses, and Umbilical), you will play a pivotal role in delivering extensive installation analysis scopes during the Project, Tender, and FEED phases.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Formulating the comprehensive installation analysis scope package, which encompasses Flexible, Umbilical, and Cable Lay, as well as Structure and Mooring installation.
  • Conducting in-place analysis for static Flexible flowlines and jumpers.
  • Leading a team of analysis engineers (typically 1 to 3) to ensure engineering tasks are completed efficiently, optimizing workload and adhering to schedules.
  • Promoting knowledge sharing within the discipline.
  • Mentoring trainees and junior engineers.
  • At the onset of the Project, Tender, or FEED:
    • Define the scope of work, specifications, timelines, and inter-disciplinary requirements.
    • Comprehend project/client expectations and compile relevant past lessons learned.
    • Identify necessary project interfaces and coordinate a schedule and resource plan with department heads.
  • During the Project, Tender, or FEED:
    • Draft engineering design basis, philosophies, technical specifications, and design reports as needed.
    • Execute Installation Analysis for Flexibles, Umbilicals, Power Cables, Mooring Lines, Towing Analysis of floaters, and transportation analysis.
    • Perform and validate OrcaFlex analysis to ensure compliance with the established design brief and standards, while ensuring adherence to QA/QC processes within the team.
    • Maintain project interfaces and ensure alignment with other engineering departments, Installation Method Engineers, SPS suppliers, Clients, Engineering Managers, and Flexible/Umbilical Engineers.
    • Facilitate regular meetings with the analysis team and manage the action register. Provide consistent reporting on document progress, resource mobilization, manhour tracking, and ensure technical changes related to the base scope are properly documented.
    • Participate in project review meetings, vendor discussions, and engineering meetings organized by other disciplines.
    • Organize and lead the analysis engineering review sessions (both internal and external).
    • Engage in customer and third-party technical audits concerning engineering deliverables and vendor documentation.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Structural, Civil, or Hydrodynamic Engineering; a Master's degree or PhD is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in the oil and gas sector or equivalent, ideally with an EPCI contractor or consultancy specializing in construction and installation design.
  • Thorough understanding of design methodologies and installation analysis using OrcaFlex, along with knowledge of applicable standard codes (e.g., DNVGL-ST-N001).
  • Proficient in managing workload, interfaces, and collaborating within a multicultural team.
