IT Support Assistant – 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic IT Support Assistant to become an integral part of our innovative IT department. The ideal candidate will deliver comprehensive operational IT, data management, and multimedia assistance across the organization. This role will serve as the primary resource for daily troubleshooting, data-related inquiries, and system support needs while collaborating effectively with colleagues and vendors to source, prepare, track, and maintain IT assets for the organization, including onboarding new employees. The IT Support Assistant will be dedicated to providing outstanding client service and managing stakeholder relationships, demonstrating the ability to work efficiently under pressure to deliver a high-quality IT support experience, while promoting best practices and new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

As a vital member of our dynamic IT team, the Support Assistant will ensure seamless operations and exceptional user experiences. Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the shared helpdesk inbox and addressing ICT, data, and multimedia inquiries.
  • Prioritizing excellent customer service, providing solutions, and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Assisting the Head of ICT with administrative tasks, testing, and implementation of new technical initiatives.
  • Maintaining an accurate asset register and providing relevant data to support commercial strategies.
  • Implementing system changes and staying updated on IT advancements and opportunities.
  • Creating and publishing content for web, intranet, and social media platforms.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft and other key operating systems, along with a solid understanding of application technology and multimedia platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and possess analytical thinking skills.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
  • Capability to challenge established processes through facilitation and coaching.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • A curious mindset focused on utilizing systems and processes to drive business improvements while staying informed about best practices and emerging technologies.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract (36 hours per week), Monday to Friday.
