About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join our team in Dagenham. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable individuals in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver High-Quality Services
    • Provide excellent drug and alcohol services to individuals with alcohol addiction, including family members, friends, and carers, to facilitate positive outcomes.
  • Program Development and Delivery
    • Design and deliver group/pod work programs, such as Foundations of Recovery, using evidence-based practice and addressing relevant issues for service users.
  • Case Management and Coordination
    • Manage a caseload and coordinate assessment, evidence-based interventions, recovery planning, and aftercare planning.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring adherence to client policies and safeguarding principles.
  • Harm Reduction and Education
    • Deliver harm reduction advice, guidance, and education, including program delivery, brief and extended recovery interventions, blood-borne virus intervention, overdose prevention, and naloxone programs.

Requirements

  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Relevant qualifications and experience in substance misuse recovery, addiction counseling, or a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Strong problem-solving and case management skills.
