About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Misuse Recovery Specialist to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Substance Misuse Recovery Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with addiction and substance misuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Evidence-Based Services: Provide excellent drug and alcohol services to individuals with alcohol addiction, including family members, friends, and carers, to facilitate positive outcomes.
  • Programme Development and Delivery: Design and deliver group/pod work programmes, such as Foundations of Recovery, using evidence-based practice, covering the most appropriate issues for service users.
  • Case Management and Coordination: Manage a case load and coordinate and deliver assessment and evidence-based interventions, recovery planning, and aftercare planning.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring adherence to all clients' policies and safeguarding principles.
  • Harm Reduction and Education: Deliver harm reduction advice, guidance, and education, including delivery of programmes, brief and extended recovery interventions, blood-borne virus intervention, overdose prevention, including naloxone programmes.
Requirements
  • Experience and Skills: Must have experience working with complex clients that have substance misuse addictions.
  • Availability: Must be available within a week's notice.
  • Certifications: Must Have a Hays DBS or an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
