Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with sales and stock control, including maintaining accurate records and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Contribute to a positive and productive team environment, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of store products, including their features, benefits, and applications.
  • Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities, using effective communication and negotiation skills to close sales.
  • Ensure that the store is maintained to a high standard, including housekeeping, merchandising, and visual displays.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including health and safety, cash handling, and administration.

Requirements

  • Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent.
  • Three months previous experience in a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a strong commitment to customer service and sales.
  • A good standard of dress and appearance, with a clean and well-groomed appearance at all times.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

  • WSET Foundation Certificate.
  • Previous experience of cash handling and stock control.
  • Interest and/or knowledge of wine.
