Job Summary

Butler Rose, a leading public practice firm, is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Tax Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a newly created role and contribute to the growth and success of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Tax Director to oversee a diverse client portfolio, providing compliance, advisory, and tax planning services to corporate and personal clients.
  • Review and prepare personal tax returns for a range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, high net worth individuals, and trusts.
  • Prepare, review, and submit corporation tax returns and computations.
  • Advise individuals and companies on routine and ad-hoc tax matters.
  • Deal with HMRC enquiries into personal and corporate tax returns.
  • Assist on tax advisory projects for existing clients and prospects.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities within individual and corporate clients.
  • Support and review the work of more junior members of the tax team.

Requirements

  • CTA qualification, newly qualified or late stage studying, with at least 3+ years' experience in a similar mixed personal and corporate tax role.
  • Strong technical tax knowledge, including CGT, IHT, and all business taxation aspects.
  • Ability to write clear and concise letters explaining complex planning issues, as well as strong verbal communication skills.
