Job Title: Hybrid Litigation Solicitor

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and addressing injury and illness claims related to Jet2holidays and Jet2.com aviation claims. You will also handle more general litigation within the business and provide supervision and support to juniors within the team, with a strategic focus on minimising costs to the business while maximising reclaims from suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Read, assess, and make decisions on pre-litigation and post-lit claims across a wide range of business areas.
  2. Work closely with the company's brokers, insurers, and their loss adjusters in respect of claims management directly supporting the GM - Litigation and Claims Management.
  3. Deliver training within the Legal Department and across the business on relevant issues and claims-handling processes.
Requirements:
  1. We are looking for a Qualified Lawyer with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience dealing with litigation and claims ideally in travel law/personal injury.
  2. In-house travel experience would be desirable.
  3. You will have working knowledge of Package Travel Regulations.
  4. You will have full working knowledge of claims handling processes and Civil Procedure Rules.
