About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Sheffield Children's Hospital. As a key member of our CAMHS Primary Mental Health Service, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, responsive care to children and families.

As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing specialist consultation, assessment, and interventions to Early Help Services. You will also undertake mental health assessments with other members of the Early Help services, formulate packages of care to meet the mental health needs of children and families, and provide universal group work to professionals, parents, or young people to promote good mental health and problem prevention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing specialist CAMHS consultation, assessment, and interventions to Early Help Services.
  • Undertaking mental health assessments with other members of the Early Help services.
  • Formulating packages of care to meet the mental health needs of children and families.
  • Providing universal group work to professionals, parents, or young people to promote good mental health and problem prevention.
  • Using your knowledge of a range of therapeutic interventions to provide treatment for young people using specific clinical intervention/strategies.
Requirements
  • Current Nursing, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy Registration.
  • Post-registration clinical training relevant to CAMHS/Mental Health.
  • Significant post-registration experience within a CAMHS/Mental Health Setting.
  • Hold a current UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
