Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based CBT to service users experiencing psychosis and other complex mental health issues.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing CBT to service users across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and inpatient settings.
  • Working with service users presenting with complex psychological difficulties, including psychosis, bipolar, complex post-traumatic experiences, and personality difficulties.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to service users.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each service user.
  • Providing supervision, consultation, and training to other healthcare professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge in CBT.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A postgraduate diploma in CBT or a related field, or a doctoral degree in clinical psychology.
  • Experience of working with service users with complex mental health issues, including psychosis and personality disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of CBT principles and practices, with the ability to apply them in a clinical setting.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Attend further training in CBT for psychosis.
  • Develop and maintain their skills and knowledge in CBT and other relevant areas.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to CBT and other mental health services.
