Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Receptionist to join our team in the Emergency Services department at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, relatives, and clinical staff, while ensuring the smooth operation of our reception areas.

Main Responsibilities
  • Registration of patients and booking of appointments
  • Administration duties, including data entry and record-keeping
  • Communication with patients, relatives, and clinical staff
  • Working with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Requirements
  • GCSE Maths and English grades 4-9 (A-C)
  • NVQ Level 2 in a relevant subject or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
