Position: Project Coordinator – Interior and Exterior Design

Salary Range: £35,000 - £50,000 based on experience

The Recruitment Bunker is seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to join a prominent engineering design firm. This role is essential in ensuring that project objectives are met with excellence and within the designated timelines.

Role Summary

  • Position: Project Coordinator – Interior and Exterior Design
  • Compensation: £35,000 - £50,000
  • Leave: 25 days plus 8 public holidays

Company Background

Our client is a specialized engineering design and development organization that has evolved into a provider of comprehensive solutions for its international clientele. To achieve this, they have honed their expertise in project and supply chain management, implementing robust quality systems and processes to meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and enforce the company's quality, health, safety, and welfare policies.
  • Oversee project budgets and manage the initial phases of significant projects.
  • Evaluate production costs and other critical project data.
  • Compile and analyze data from reports, adjusting timelines as necessary while ensuring quality control at project sites.
  • Facilitate project review meetings.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, manufacturing units, suppliers, and clients to ensure timely resolution of all project-related actions.
  • Manage the overall development and production phases of projects.
  • Create product design and development strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and legal standards, interpret client requirements, identify engineering challenges, and implement effective solutions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an automotive or manufacturing setting, with relevant expertise as a Project Coordinator in interior/exterior design or project support/management roles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various departments, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in managing teams and projects.
  • Proficient in project management software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
  • Capable of generating reports and leading meetings.
  • Ability to plan work and delegate tasks to team members.
  • Integrate departmental planning with other business functions.
  • Exhibit strong emotional intelligence, ethics, and professionalism.
  • Organized and methodical, yet adaptable in approach to workload.
  • Must possess full rights to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in developing project guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to lead moderate-sized teams.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
