About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Personal Care Assistant at Solo Support Services. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to live independently and maintain their dignity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a caring and supportive relationship with our clients, their families, and our team of support workers.
  • Provide personal care, medication administration, nutrition, and moving and handling support, following instruction from senior team members.
  • Participate in the on-call rota when required, providing 24/7 support to our clients.
  • Support clients to access the community, attend local activities, and engage in physical activities, such as swimming.

About You

We are looking for an individual who is reliable, trustworthy, kind, and caring. You must be able to work as part of a team, use your own initiative, and have excellent communication skills. Experience in health and social care is not necessary, as full training will be provided.

Requirements

  • Reliable and trustworthy individual with a strong sense of empathy and compassion.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full clean driving license and willingness to drive a wheelchair-accessible vehicle.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
