We are seeking a Senior Heritage Collections Officer to enhance our team at The National Trust.

Work Environment

Reporting to the Property Curator, you will oversee a team of three Collections Officers and volunteers, ensuring effective collections management throughout the estate. Your role will be crucial in redefining significance and crafting strategies for preservation and public engagement.



Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include the planning and execution of programming initiatives and core interpretation, ensuring that adequate resources are allocated for a comprehensive schedule of activities aligned with estate programming and supporting our vision for the estate.

You will lead the development of new inventory records and strategize on legal ownership and provenance to enhance the diversity of what we conserve, interpret, and present to the public. By setting a standard, you will foster a culture of outstanding customer service, engaging visitors with our collections and the core values of The National Trust.

Your duties will also involve supervising the daily operations of the house and the presentation of the collection, focusing on visitor engagement and experience on a weekly basis and one weekend every four weeks.
