Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and results-oriented leader to join our vibrant and collaborative team. In this role, you will oversee and nurture the energy and carbon consultancy team, delivering a variety of services to corporate clients, particularly within the manufacturing and industrial sectors, with an emphasis on food and beverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Energy and Carbon consultancy team.
  • Manage the overall profitability and loss of the team.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic goals as part of the leadership group.
  • Coordinate resource management, including scheduling, availability, and task delegation.
  • Oversee team development and performance, including recruitment, training, and professional growth.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of projects within timelines and budget constraints.
  • Demonstrate commercial acumen by identifying new business opportunities and maintaining client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or a relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Chartered Engineer status, MBA, or equivalent business qualification is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering or energy and carbon reduction within the industrial sector.
  • Proven track record in implementing heat decarbonization strategies.
  • Experience in building, developing, and managing a professional team.
  • Consultancy experience is essential.
  • Experience managing complex projects, including developing briefs, cost proposals, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to generate sales through effective account management and business development.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and preparation.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of industrial systems and energy optimization, including boilers, heat networks, refrigeration, and renewable energy technologies.
  • Familiarity with energy and carbon management policies and market trends.
  • Knowledge of metering, measurement, and verification techniques.
  • A valid UK Driving Licence is required, as travel may be necessary.
  • UK DBS clearance will be required.
