Our client is a reputable and expanding charity retailer, currently seeking a Senior Shop Manager to oversee their thriving store in Hampton Hill.
As the Senior Shop Manager, your main objective will be to optimize revenue generation while ensuring that all performance targets are consistently achieved and surpassed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Area Manager to communicate stock needs and oversee the shop's maintenance and health & safety standards.
- Ensure the store operates smoothly in alignment with company policies.
- Achieve annual financial and contribution goals for the store.
- Meet and exceed store Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Lead, mentor, and develop your team effectively.
- Handle the recruitment and selection process for new team members.
- Implement visual merchandising strategies to maximize sales opportunities.
- Attract new business to the store.
- Engage with the local community.
- Recruit and manage volunteers for the store.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience as a Store Manager in either charity or retail sectors.
- Exceptional communication, questioning, and listening skills to engage customers effectively.
- Strong awareness of KPIs and a results-driven mindset.
- Experience working towards targets in a customer-centric environment.
- Demonstrated energy, drive, and a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to cover store hours, including weekends.
- Successful track record in managing a profitable operation with significant growth.
- Experience in leading a large team of volunteers, focusing on recruitment, development, and excellent customer service.
- A solid understanding of charity retail is advantageous, along with a genuine passion for the charity sector.
