NRL Recruitment is seeking a Traffic Operations Coordinator to collaborate with a prominent client on a significant project.

You will play a crucial role in the effective execution of traffic management initiatives by the client and their subcontractors.

Your expertise will guide traffic management practices to meet project objectives and targets, ensuring successful project delivery.

Additionally, you will oversee the traffic management teams on-site to achieve optimal project outcomes.

Reporting Structure:

Material Handling Manager/Supervisor

Direct Reports:

Traffic Marshals, Lorry Drivers

Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of traffic marshals, banksmen, lorry drivers, and others.
Ensure the safe and efficient transport of materials and equipment within the laydown area, warehouse, and internal site routes.
Complete essential safety documentation for all tasks and ensure all team members understand their responsibilities.

Implement a traffic management plan in line with the NS Temporary Workplace Traffic Control Manual or an approved Code of Practice.

Work closely with Health and Safety Managers to develop daily or future operational strategies.
Create safe working zones for personnel during transport activities.
Supervise deliveries to designated areas, ensuring safe and accurate unloading by the appropriate personnel.
Prepare and submit various reports, including timesheets, toolbox talks, daily hazard assessments, and work orders.

Coordinate with onsite authorities regarding traffic management and the execution of inbound, onsite, and outbound traffic.

Perform additional duties as required.

Key Performance Indicators:
Timely reporting and resolution of any issues or irregularities related to traffic management.
Documentation of site activities, inspection logs, incidents, and violations.

Specific Functional/Technical Authority:
Oversee material transport between the laydown area/warehouse and the site.
Education & Training Requirements:

Mandatory:
NHSS 12A/B LTMO (Traffic Safety and Control Officer)
A certificate in Site Safety Management
Experience in construction environments
A valid UK full car driving license (no more than 6 points)

Desirable:
NHSS 12D
NRSWA Supervisor card
Banksman Ticket
LGV/HGV license
