Mechanical Shift Fitter Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Shift Fitter to join our team at CV Technical. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure the facility runs safely and efficiently.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance our operations.
- Conduct daily checks of workload and ensure tasks are completed as required.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
- Work with various equipment, including saws, edge banders, bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, and cutters.
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical discipline.
- Completed a four-year recognized apprenticeship.
- Competency in hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, vibration analysis, and alignment.
- Fault finding and fabrication skills.
- Experience in sawmills or wood products.
- Welding skills.
