About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Haematologist to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Haematology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients, conducting research, and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with haematological disorders, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex cases.
  • Conduct research in haematology, including clinical trials, studies, and publications.
  • Develop and implement new services and initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and communication.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration with a Licence to practise.
  • Success in Intercollegiate Specialty Examination or overseas equivalent.
  • Higher degree (desirable).
  • Entry on Specialist Register in Clinical Haematology (or CCT expected within 6 months of interview date).
  • Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining (UK) CCT in Clinical Haematology.
  • Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on range of problems both emergency and elective within specialty.
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
