Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Nurse to join our Haematology ward as a Junior Sister. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team and take on a leadership role.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the shift and ensure the smooth running of the ward
  • Liaise with doctors and the multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care
  • Supervise and manage a team of staff, including appraisals and training
  • Administer chemotherapy and take charge of the Acute Oncology Helpline
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse on sub part 1 or 2 of the professional register
  • First degree or willingness to undertake
  • Evidence of continuing education and NMC recognised Mentorship qualification
  • Specific speciality related qualification/equivalent experience
