About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our UK systems engineering team at D-Orbit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the design and development of spacecraft systems, ensuring they meet the required specifications and are delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain spacecraft systems architecture and design
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate subsystems and ensure overall system performance
  • Conduct trade studies and analysis to optimize system design and performance
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system requirements and design specifications
  • Interface with procurement team to source new technologies and support procurement process
  • Support AIV team and related activities
  • Author technical documents and reports
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in spacecraft design and development
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles and spacecraft subsystems
  • Experience with data busses architectures and Matlab/Python programming
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work in a team
  • Experience with requirements configuration management tools and software development
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Knowledge of mission analysis tools (GMAT/orekit)
  • Working experience in space transportation and servicing applications
  • Knowledge of Linux and ECSS/NASA standards
