About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at D-Orbit, a pioneering company in space logistics and transportation. As a key member of our UK systems engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of our spacecraft systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop spacecraft systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems and subsystems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system requirements and design specifications.
  • Interface with procurement teams to source new technologies and support procurement processes.
  • Work with manufacturing and AIV teams to define test plans and procedures.
  • Support flight operations teams in defining operational plans and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in spacecraft design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles and spacecraft subsystems.
  • Experience with data busses architectures and Matlab/Python programming.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work in a remote environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Knowledge of mission analysis tools (GMAT/Orekit).
  • Experience in space transportation and servicing applications.
  • Knowledge of Linux and ECSS/NASA standards.
