Spacecraft Systems Engineer

At D-Orbit, we're pioneering the future of space logistics and transportation. As a Spacecraft Systems Engineer, you'll be involved in the customization of already flight-qualified platforms and the design of new advanced missions. Your ultimate objective is to ensure your system will fly safely to orbit, deliver the required services, and successfully accomplish its disposal.

Key Responsibilities:

- Actively contribute to the development of system architecture and subsystems design;
- Work within a multidisciplinary team of specialists on the system and subsystems design;
- System and subsystems budgeting;
- Support to stakeholder/mission/project requirements capturing & management;
- Interface with and support AIV team and related activities;
- Interface with manufacturing;
- Support the system test plan, procedures, and setup definition;
- Authoring of Technical Documents

Requirements:

- Knowledge of System Engineering principles and system-level knowledge of all spacecraft subsystems;
- Knowledge of data busses architectures;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Proactive attitude and ability to work in a team;
- Experience in the use of Matlab and Python;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Knowledge of Mission analysis tool (GMAT/orekit);
- Working experience in space transportation and servicing applications;
- DOORS / Jama requirements experience;
- Knowledge of Linux.

Education:

- University degree preferably in the fields of Aerospace/Space Engineering.

Language:

- This role requires professional proficiency in English.
