Your Responsibilities:

  • Project Development and Pre-construction: Innovate and optimize Protection & Control solutions, including the development of essential line diagrams, schematic representations, relay configurations, SCADA topology layouts, wiring schematics, and design specifications for a variety of Transmission & Distribution clients.
  • Specification Development: Collaborate with specialists in technology and external project partners to evaluate tenders effectively.
  • Technical Assessment and Design Assurance: Provide critical design insights to the consenting team, converter, civil, and marine teams during design discussions.
  • Tender Specification Development: Ensure design integrity of tender documentation and participate in supplier meetings during the evaluation phase.
  • Construction Design Assurance: Assess supplier technical designs and conduct audits to ensure compliance with technical specifications during manufacturing.
  • Commissioning Support: Assist in troubleshooting and fault resolution.

Are You Ready to Challenge the Norm?

We are looking for:

  • A qualification in electrical, electronic, or power engineering, such as HNC, HND, BSc/BEng, and/or MSc/MEng.
  • Familiarity with the HV design process related to transmission systems and relevant project experience.
  • Significant experience in Protection & Control Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) or detailed design for high voltage installations (132kV to 400kV).
  • A collaborative team player with a client-centric approach and strong interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to adapt and work across multiple projects flexibly.

This role demands a solid foundation in Protection & Control engineering, with demonstrated experience in the design and specification of equipment utilized in electrical networks and renewable energy generation. You should possess extensive experience with transmission voltages ranging from 275kV to 400kV, ideally with a background in consulting, utilities, renewable generation, or original equipment manufacturing.
