**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join our client's site in Surrey. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the technical and operational goals and strategy to ensure that the business meets customers' expectations when it comes to delivery of product quality, food safety, and legality.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Team Management:** Manage the Technical team, including holding regular meetings, performance reviews, identifying training needs, and setting objectives for individuals.
- **Policy and Procedure Management:** Ensure up-to-date policies and procedures are communicated to and fully understood by the operational teams.
- **Customer and Supplier Relationships:** Build excellent relationships with customers and suppliers, ensuring that complaints, queries, and communications are responded to in a timely manner.
- **Hygiene and H&S:** Ensure that all hygiene and H&S requirements are adhered to by following company policies and procedures.
- **Knowledge and Compliance:** Maintain excellent knowledge of company procedures and control standards.
- **Process Monitoring:** Monitor and manage all technical processes, product standards, and quality control programs.
- **Cost Effectiveness:** Ensure that the technical function is cost-effective and running with the required resources.
- **Business Objectives:** Work with the senior management team to implement company policies and business objectives.
**Requirements:**
- A minimum of 2 years in a Technical or Quality Management position with customer and supplier-facing experience.
- A Food Science degree is desirable.
- HACCP Level 3 +
- Lead Auditor or equivalent experience.
- Good Knowledge of BRC.
