About the Position
You will be responsible for overseeing the Maintenance operations within the Tesco Distribution Centre. Leading a team of approximately 10 skilled technicians specializing in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Building, and Refrigeration, you will work in partnership with various internal departments and external service providers.

Your Key Responsibilities
You will ensure adherence to our Business Code of Conduct, demonstrating integrity and diligence in all activities. Your specific responsibilities will include:

• Upholding high standards throughout the facility.

• Prioritizing community, customer, and environmental considerations in all decisions.

• Fostering effective communication and relationships across all departments and with essential stakeholders.

• Participating in operational meetings and collaborating closely with management.

• Implementing changes across various business areas to enhance performance and productivity.

• Achieving continuous improvement year-on-year.

• Leading problem-solving initiatives, identifying critical issues, and formulating effective solutions.

• Managing team workload and capacity efficiently.

• Forecasting and overseeing budget management with a focus on cost efficiency.

• Supervising contractor performance on-site to ensure effective resolutions.

• Collaborating with other business units to ensure solutions are developed and owned locally.

• Cultivating, mentoring, and guiding a high-performing team, providing them with opportunities to excel.

• Utilizing insights to inform strategic planning and identify potential opportunities.

• Upholding Health and Safety standards diligently.

• Promoting diversity and inclusion within your team.

• Meeting and exceeding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implementing improvement strategies when necessary.

• Managing escalations effectively.

• Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory standards, striving to exceed them where feasible.

• Representing the brand through team conduct, appearance, and service standards.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Experience leading diverse and remote teams Capability to build internal and external networks Data analysis skills for timely decision-making Financial acumen Proficiency in computer applications - EAM, Office 365 Change management expertise Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Influencing and negotiation skills Previous experience in Technical and Maintenance Engineering Experience in managing large-scale remote facilities or maintenance operations Proven success in leadership and team development Technical qualifications in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, or Building disciplines
