About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Facilities Management and Estates to lead and manage the provision of an effective and efficient Property Engineering Service at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the Trust's land and property assets are safe, secure, compliant, and fit for purpose.
  • Manage the Facilities Management Team and all facilities management contracts.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure operational estates services fully support Trust service aims and clinical strategies.
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in facilities management or a related discipline.
  • Experience in establishing and monitoring governance frameworks.
  • Experience of leading and implementing facilities management strategy and contract management processes.
Desirable Skills
  • Proven track record in delivering a facilities management service under pressure and with tight budgetary constraints.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and generate own and team workload within a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to contribute towards team building, coaching, and motivating staff.
Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Detailed understanding of estate-related compliance.
  • Proof of commitment to Continuing Professional Development.
  • Full UK driving license to enable travel throughout YAS and off-site to meetings nationally.
