Position – Site Operations Manager

Location – Remote with travel to various locations across the portfolio.

Compensation – £45,000

Role Summary:

The Site Operations Manager will be a key figure within the organization, tasked with overseeing a designated collection of properties to ensure their optimal functionality. This role involves coordinating all aspects of operational activities related to facilities management under the guidance of the Head of Facilities.

You will manage a diverse range of sites, including those in the South East, Liverpool, Hull, and potentially additional locations. Flexibility in location and portfolio management is available for the ideal candidate.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for the upkeep and operational efficiency of buildings and associated infrastructures within your portfolio. Key responsibilities include maintenance oversight, supplier negotiations, renovation management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

This position demands a proactive individual with strong customer service skills, practical abilities, and a positive mindset. You should be organized and capable of taking initiative in challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Management of property maintenance contracts.
  2. Overseeing repairs and monitoring performance of systems.
  3. Supervising maintenance personnel and subcontractors.
  4. Ensuring adherence to security and safety protocols.
  5. Coordinating renovations, refurbishments, and office relocations.
  6. Advising on energy efficiency measures.
  7. Collaborating with the Head of Facilities on new building projects.
  8. Assisting the Risk, Safety, and Compliance Manager with audits and corrective actions.
  9. Managing budgets and conducting equipment and asset audits in conjunction with the Head of Facilities.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Participation in Facilities meetings and relevant events.
  2. Maintaining compliance to the highest standards.
  3. Ensuring departmental adherence to legal, regulatory, and ethical obligations.
  4. Collaboration with colleagues for effective performance management.
  5. Handling complaints related to the function.
  6. Coordinating the submission of relevant bids and tenders.
  7. Regular meetings with direct reports.
  8. Conducting quality management reviews and supervisions of direct reports.
  9. Promoting the organization’s commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
  10. Upholding the organization’s commitment to staff, volunteer, and client safety through Health & Safety practices.
  11. Representing the organization in strategic and planning meetings.
  12. Additional duties as required by the role.

  4. Leadership experience in operational teams.
  5. Strong commercial awareness.
