Job Summary

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the management of all operational cleaning activities on our contract, including labour, plant and equipment operation and maintenance, financial and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead, coach, mentor, and manage an established management team and a team of cleaning and waste operatives.
    • Take responsibility for recruitment and training of future employees.
  • Operational Management
    • Manage all operational cleaning activities to ensure timely delivery of services to a standard that meets and exceeds customer requirements.
    • Manage operational resources to ensure efficient working both as teams and as individuals.
    • Monitor and report on profitability by measuring actual costs against budget.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure all staff maintain safe working practices through implementation of Company and Health & Safety regulations.
    • Oversee KPI reporting and ensure that reports are delivered to the agreed schedule.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain effective client relationships to ensure the image of Workforce Staffing Ltd is presented suitably.
    • Manage the client relationship and ensure a high level of service performance.
  • Human Resources
    • Maintain a working knowledge of Company Human Resources processes.
    • Ensure that all staff have the required competence to undertake their roles.
Requirements
  • HNC or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven management/supervisory background.
  • History of customer-focused cleaning contract management.
  • Sound understanding of the waste industry.
  • Familiarity with working in a factory environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable Health and Safety regulations and legislation.
  • Computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience of effectively handling customer queries and complaints.
  • Aptitude for problem solving.
  • Experience of planning provision of resources.
  • Experience of cost controls.
  • Proven ability to delegate.
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, multi-task, and re-prioritise work.
