Job Summary:

The Site Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the Halewood site, including the supervision of cleaning and waste operatives, management of operational resources, and ensuring the timely delivery of services to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
    • Manage personnel, including training, absence, and disciplinary procedures
    • Ensure all staff maintain safe working practices through implementation of company and health and safety regulations
    • Manage operational cleaning activities to ensure timely delivery of services
  • Resource Management:
    • Manage operational resources to ensure efficient working both as teams and as individuals
    • Undertake capacity and resource planning where appropriate
  • Financial Management:
    • Monitor and report on profitability by measuring actual costs against budget
    • Utilize visual management to track performance
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Drive continuous improvement to improve costs, quality, and services
    • Oversee KPI reporting and ensure reports are delivered to the agreed schedule
  • Health and Safety:
    • Ensure cleaning operations are undertaken in a safe manner
    • Ensure all necessary risk assessments and method statements are available
    • Ensure all current best practices are followed and shared
  • Leadership and Communication:
    • Manage, develop, and motivate direct reporting staff
    • Ensure effective communication is provided to all members of staff
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain effective client relationships
    • Ensure the image of Workforce Staffing Ltd is presented suitably
  • HR and Training:
    • Maintain a working knowledge of company HR processes
    • Ensure all staff have the required competence to undertake their roles
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Establish and maintain a clear understanding of customer quality standards
    • Operate audit processes to ensure customer and company expectations are met

Requirements:

  • HNC or equivalent qualification
  • Proven management/supervisory background
  • History of customer-focused cleaning contract management
  • Sound understanding of the waste industry
  • Familiarity with working in a factory environment
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations and legislation
  • Computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience of effectively handling customer queries and complaints
  • Aptitude for problem-solving
  • Experience of planning provision of resources
  • Experience of cost controls
  • Proven ability to delegate
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, multi-task, and re-prioritize work
