Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of service users, integrating complex data from various sources to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement pre and post diagnostic interventions, grounded in current research and best practice, to support service users and their families.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide consultation and advice on service users' psychological care, ensuring seamless transitions and comprehensive support.

Person Specification:

  • Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology
  • Eligibility to receive Chartered Clinical Psychology status
  • Membership of a professional body

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Advanced understanding of national and local priorities/policies/drivers and their application to practice
  • Expertise in complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention, and management
  • Knowledge and understanding of Autism, current legislation, and drivers
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of equality and diversity issues and experience of working within a multicultural framework
  • Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
