Position: Product Marketing Manager

This prominent organization, a leader in the rapidly expanding sports sector, boasts two of the industry's most recognized brands, frequently showcased to millions of viewers. With a rich history spanning over a century, the company is experiencing remarkable success and is preparing for further global growth.

The Product Marketing Manager will oversee the product strategy from inception to execution, focusing on positioning, lifecycle management, and market entry strategies. You will facilitate new product development and implement pricing and promotional strategies informed by data and marketing best practices.

You will gain in-depth knowledge of the brand's characteristics and positioning, driving new product launches through effective project management and marketing execution while monitoring performance post-launch.

Key Responsibilities

Product Marketing:

  • Lead product campaigns from market opportunity evaluation to execution, including developing business cases, conducting market research, and creating support plans.
  • Identify and implement strategic themes to enhance competitive positioning and highlight key product strengths.
  • Develop compelling product marketing messages and unique selling propositions that distinguish the brand and its offerings.
  • Produce effective copywriting, product positioning, and messaging, and assist in creating graphical product assets.

Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Analyze key market trends, perform competitor assessments, and evaluate product performance to guide category reviews and inform product strategy.
  • Manage and monitor the product portfolio to devise strategies that address market gaps and needs.
  • Assess performance data to formulate appropriate pricing and promotional tactics.

Product Development:

  • Become the subject matter expert on products, leveraging insights into capabilities, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to drive effective market architecture and inform new product development.
  • Design and implement go-to-market strategies for new products, focusing on messaging and market positioning.
  • Collaborate with product management teams to establish timelines and deadlines for product development and launch activities.
  • Present products to internal teams and clients, discussing sales strategies and utilizing market research to set product pricing.
  • Manage projects and execute go-to-market content creation, including key market asset copywriting.
  • Work with global markets to develop product launch and promotional activities, sharing best practices and ensuring compliance.
  • Oversee post-launch tracking and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in product-specific marketing, including the creation of go-to-market strategies for new and existing products.
  • Experience in market segmentation, competitive positioning, and unique selling proposition development.
  • Proven track record of managing marketing campaigns from conception to completion.
  • Demonstrated success in product launches and marketing campaigns.
  • Strong project management capabilities, adhering to timelines and milestones.
  • Excellent skills in creating scalable marketing content.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
