Maintenance Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Moy Park. As a key member of our mill engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our feed mill by maintaining a proactive maintenance plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a maintenance plan to minimize production downtime and ensure efficient mill operation.
- Provide technical support to production teams on the PPM system and ensure its effective use.
- Maintain a breakdown call-out plan to minimize downtime and ensure prompt response to maintenance needs.
- Prepare regular reports on maintenance status and engineering performance as key performance indicators.
- Complete engineering requests in priority order and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain all pressure systems and lifting equipment to ensure compliance with legal and insurance requirements.
- Assist in purchasing and stock control of site maintenance requirements within budget targets.
- Obtain quotations for plant improvements and capital plans.
- Maintain the company permit-to-work system and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
- Assist in ensuring that all work carried out by maintenance teams and contractors complies with company health and safety policies.
- Maintain the engineering workshop and stores to a satisfactory condition, adhering to the company's clean-as-you-go policy.
- Monitor and control any negative environmental impact arising from processes within your area of responsibility.
- Ensure all direct reports and colleagues are briefed on their responsibilities as outlined in the Moy Park Group Risk Management System Manual.
- Hold electrical qualifications to the 17th edition and experience working on PLCs, inverters, and PPM systems.
- Have mechanical experience and a background in working within high-speed production facilities.
- Possess an IOSH qualification (desirable).
